ABSTRACT:
The aim of the PhD research was to create the logistique informatics support necessary in Romanian primary health care implementation of evidence-based medicine and to assess the training for evidence-based medicine on a pilot study. Personal Contributions are structured in four subsections: Hypothesis, Material and Methods, Results and Discussions and contains eleven chapters. There were created and implemented three applications: CATROM, GHIDURI(ONLINE) and EBMROM.
The thesis also proposed the assessment of evidence-based medicine training through a pilot study realized by traditional training on many students at Faculty of Medicine, Iuliu Haţieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy, second cycle of study and by distance learning on a sample of primary health care physicians from Cluj.
I avoid the loading of thesis with pages of codes of developed applications in order to not present information’s needless for intercession of the thesis.
In the last chapter there are presented the major contribution of the author concerning the solutions to some problems of methodological and applicative nature specific to evidence based medicine. It is assay also the identification of the most important problems and the future trends of research in the field, highlighting the interest of the author in continuing the study and research on this direction.
The content of the thesis reflect the main preoccupation of the author in the last five years, priority from the period of preparation the PhD thesis. The research is important to evidence based medicine because offer through the applications developed as logistique instruments, concrete solutions in critical appraised topics creation and management, in creation of guideline models and clinical practice guidelines, and in evidence based medicine training of Romanian physicians in the spirit of the use of best relevant and valid evidence in medical decision-making.
The PhD thesis assay a selection of problems linked by the applications useful in evidence based medicine logistique having as the final objective the implementation of three applications, and the assessment of evidence based medicine training in continuing education of family physicians through a distance-learning program. The implemented solutions for the three applications are original and its relevance from the scientific research community point of view is confirm by their publication in specialty journals and in proceedings of international and national scientific manifestation.
