ABSTRACT:
A manufacturing factory that produce travel bags focused on export market with increasing demand, need to improve the product quantity to fulfil the production target. Initial survey found out that the factory cannot meet the target. This situation was caused by some factors, as: lack of machines and ineficiency of the factory location order. This paper includes analysis of factory location order using Travel Chart method which is performed manually and using QS software to get more accurate results. The objective is to minimize material handling so that realization of the production target determined can be optimized. By adding 1 (one) machine for hot forming, the production quantity can be increased and the new facility location order showed reduction of sum of momen from 949459 to 775494.8
