ABSTRACT:
Under the title "Eclats d´Afrique du Sud, South African Literature," the volume is an hommage à André Viola, containing contributions by J.M. Coetzee and Nuruddin Farah. Against the background of Mugabe´s "land reforms", the article seeks to demonstrate how Graham Lang manages to combine in his novel white farmers´ love of the land, the Rhodesian masculinity syndrome, the narrator´s inbetweenness (Zimbabwe and Australia), and a critical representation of Robert Mugabe.
