ABSTRACT:
Windows 2000 is one of the most known operating systems. There are four versions of Windows 2000: Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Advanced Server and Windows 2000 Datacenter Server. There are some differences between the hardware requirements from the Microsoft specifications and practical hardware requirements. Windows 2000 was developed with four basic principles in mind: internet enabled, reliable, manageable and best for new devices. Windows 2000 has what it is call Internet Aware Security, meaning that the security in Windows 2000 not only make it secure on an intranet but also secure on the Internet.
