EDITORIAL STATEMENT:
Due to the high costs of publication abroad and the difficulty of publishing applied research in many international journals, it was decided, in 1992, to publish the University of Khartoum Journal of Agricultural Sciences (U. of K.J. Agric. Sci.). An eight-member Editorial Board was appointed By the Faculty Board of Agriculture, five from the Faculty of Agriculture, one from the Faculty of Animal Production, one from the Faculty Forestry and a managing-editor
The journal started in 1993 with two issues per year, and after ten years and in response to the large number of submitted manuscripts, it was decided to publish three issues per year starting Jan. 2003.
In commemoration of its tenth anniversary, the ten years (1993-2002) abstracts were published in 2003 in both Arabic and English.
