SUMMARY:
Based on specialty scientific literature, augmented by the importance for experiment based applied research, the statistical modelling and numerical optimization of confidence intervals for binomial parameters calculated on 2X2-type contingency tables on which working hypothesis is simple binomial distribution and bi-dimensional binomial distribution are proposed. The proposal are sustained through the research team obtained preliminary results for optimization of confidence interval limits at significance level of 5% for simple proportion (X/n) and through the comparative study of calculation formulas based methods reported until present in the speciality scientific literature. Therefore, the present project proposes a completely new approach, based on statistical modelling, combinatorics and numerical optimization of the confidence interval assessment for binomial parameters problematic. The impact of the research results is significant to life sciences: epidemiology, sociology, medical research, pharmaceutics, biochemistry and biotechnology. The research team is structured from specialists and researchers in mathematics and informatics, information technology and medical informatics, epidemiology and biochemistry, with results underlined in the international information flux in the mentioned domains and in the proposed theme subject.
