DESCRIPTION:
This is a video, both in DVD+R DVD-R formats, running 44 minutes with voice, music and special effects by Dr. Leonard C. Silvern
It is associated with Silvern's Memoirs, Chapter 39, listed elsewhere.
It covers a period during 1983. The images and musical interludes were made on location by the author who taveled to Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima and Kamakura. The purpose was to study in detail the religious beliefs of the Japanese people. Particular emphasis was placed on the Buddha.
Visits were made to Brother Louis Legendre at the St. Mary's International School in Tokyo and to Sister Ludwigis Fabian, OSB, at Kamakura. The Sister was engaged in a 6-year study of Zen Meditation and would become a Zen Master. Subsequently she would return to Germany and create the Haus der Stille there based on her studies. Both individuals had been students of Dr. Silvern in earlier years. Fr. Legendre was associated with Dr. Silvern in Canada while Sister Ludi had worked with Silvern in California.
