ABSTRACT:
Syria had been busy of many Shi'i activities of different sects and streams during the Middle Ages.After conquering Syria by the Seljukid in the second half of the 11th century, the country wetnessed different activities and processes to restore hygemony of the Sunni Schools of law.The main activities had been done by the Sunni rulers were:
1. counter Abbasid propaganda (da'wa) against the Fatimids.
2. Military actions against the Shi'is and their symbols.
3. Juridical Reforms to serve the Sunnism.
4. Renforcement of Sunni education and institutions.
