DESCRIPTION:
This is a video, both in CD-R and DVD-R formats, running 126 minutes with voice and music narrations jointly by Dr. Leonard C. Silvern and Gwen Taylor. Each format has two disks.
It is associated with Silvern's Memoirs, Chapter 41, listed elsewhere.
It covers a period during 1984. The images were photographed during the events by the authors. The wild life portions were in Amboseli, Samburu, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and the Masai Mara areas. The archaeology and anthropology portions were in Dar-es-Salam and Zanzibar, Tanzania.
In Zanzibar, Gwen Taylor describes her chance meeting with Yassir Arafat. In Nairobi, the authors describe their interview with Dr. Richard Leakey at the National Museums of Kenya regarding Early Man and his work that month with the Turkana Boy fossil. During this interview, they were presented with a copy of skull #1480.
