The autobiography of the eminent jazz double bassist Coleridge Goode as told to Roger Cotterrell (co-author). Describes Goode's childhood and youth in Jamaica in the early decades of the twentieth century, his student days in Glasgow in the 1930s, and his career in music from wartime years in London through to his later work in modern jazz, choral and orchestral music, the jazz and poetry movement, serial music, etc.
