ABSTRACT:
The Rhetoric of Social Intervention presents a groundbreaking way for students and practitioners to analyze social change processes and act as critics and initiators of social interventions. It introduces the Rhetoric of Social Intervention (RSI) model, a framework that unpacks the communication patterns driving social change.

As a method of rhetorical criticism, RSI model offers a basic framework for exploring and interpreting rhetorical processes underlying our symbol exchanges.

As a planning guide for intervention, the model provides a systemic approach for identifying rhetorical trends generating social change, initiating strategic interventions, and anticipating the side effects of interventional choices.
