ABSTRACT:
Gestalt Theoretical Foundations in Uuno Klami's Song Compositions

The speech concerned about the report manuscript of about 36 song compositions of a Finnish composer Uuno Klami. The basic research is based on Gestalt theoretical music analysis method SOUNDSPACE and music analyses. According to the analysis results Klami's song compositions in the macro level consisted for example: minor key, especially Es minor; stable and slightly variable ground rhythm and ground melody, besides they were created according to customers orders, and they themes concerned mainly about Finnish culture based on Kalevala, Raamattu or e.g. Jylhä's, Hortamo's, and Peltonen's poems/writings.
The analysis results showed that the main intensity of the song compositions were in the first or second quater of the whole (the theory of the Golden Section is about 60 %).
