ABSTRACT:
On page 81 in the 14-paper volume, we see the first reference to "computer based instruction." The precise statement is that "automation would also incorporate computer based instruction." Regrettably, that is the beginning and the end of any mention of this particular kind of instructional programmmg.
The author emphasizes that available textbooks in the social sciences make scarcely any reference to programmed instruction. While research may be conducted, there is an absence of any reporting in the professional literature. The paper briefly refers to what has been published.
