his Working Paper is the outcome of a short study commissioned by Intercooperation on existing communities of practice (CoPs) in the development sector in India. CoPs have come to prominence amongst many organisations in the context of Knowledge Management. This paper explores a number of pertinent experiences from the private sector, but focuses on experiences in the development sector in India.
