ABSTRACT:
This collection of articles aims at taking stock of the past ten years of research
of history of empire, nationalism, and nationalities in the Russian empire and Soviet
Union by Russian, Ukrainian, US, German, Japanese, British, and Canadian
scholars and procuring for a new research agenda and interpretative models of history
of empire and nation in Russian history. All articles are original cobtributions
written for this collection that are foreworded by the editors’ introduction based
on 5 years long experience of editing Ab Imperio Journal and supplemented by
extensive and annotated bibliographies.
