ABSTRACT:
Already in 1941, Wolfgang Metzger has presented a theory of Creativity based on the gestalt-theoretical approach, that forms the center of his latter work „Schöpferische Freiheit“. As he pointed out mainly in the seventies, all factors of creativity which were meanwhile analysed by investigators of other schools can be integrated in his theory. Moreover, his concepts allow the development of pedagogic and didactic hints for the promotion of productive thinking and creative acting.
The main features of the theory are presented and explained by using the example of the musician Leo Lewenhaupt which is drawn of HANSEN’s novel “Psalm at Journey’s End”.
