ABSTRACT:
An analysis of multiple aspects of Salman Rushdie's novel "The Ground Beneath Her Feet", notably its musical and literary intertextuality and its ambivalent positioning with regard to postcolonial and globalisation issues. Particular stress is laid on the influence of Bob Dylan, as musician and lyricist, on the novel's intertext.
