ABSTRACT:
The focus of the thesis is to make a compact view to the Gestalt Psychological theories in musicology, and to create an analysis method with which the music is able to analyse visually. Thereafter the theory and method is applied to the Japanese Shakuhachi Flute Music, and the interpretation is done in the context of Gestalt Psychology and Phenomenology.
This thesis gives one innovative solution to solve the music analytical problem of the musical Gestalt, to which the Gestalt psychological theories (laws and explanation theories) are suitable to apply.
