ABSTRACT:
Contribution on it's own way deals with research about processes of “annual talk” in Slovenian police departments. Annual talk is a form of collaboration between managers and police officers, which was recently applied in Slovenian police organisation. Authors were interested in distribution of fit for answers through criteria of understanding, evaluation and preparation. Authors were also interested in statistically important differences between police departments engaged to research (N=10) particularly whether there are differences between leaders (N=13) on one and police officers (N=66) on other side. Results showed some important distinctions, and indicated, that it is necessary for officers in some departments to additionally educate and inform themselves on themes of annual talk and themes of assessments of co-workers. The results also indicate some statistically important differences between police officers and leaders. Reader can inform oneself also with certain chosen literature and proposals for improvement of quality of annual talk and assessments of co-workers in police departments.
