From the mummies of Sitobion avenae (F.), Rhopalosiphum padi (L.) and Metopolophium dirhodum (Walk) collected in the fields of wheat and barley in the region of Lublin during 1987-1989 seven species of Aphidiidae belonging in the genera Aphidius (4 species), Ephedrus, Praon and Diaeretiella (single species) were reared. Also hyperparasitic Hymenotera were reared: two species of Megaspilidae, two of Cynipidae and four of Pteromalidae. Besides, adult Aphidiidae were collected by net sweeping and by trapping in Moericke yellow pans.

ABSTRACT:
The studies on the parasitoids of cereal aphids were carried out during 1987-1989. Mummified aphids were picked up by hand. From the mummies reared seven species of Aphidiidae emeraged (tab. 1). Also hyperparasitic species of Megaspilidae, Cynipidae and Pteromalidae were reared (tab. 2), The overall parasitism of S. avenae varied between 10 and 15% on winter wheat and between 4 and 8% on spring barley. The Parasitism of Rh. Padi and M. dirhodum was negligible. In addition, adults of Aphidiidae were sampled by net sweeping and by trapping in Moericke yellow pans (tab. 3). Both collections revealed species very similar to those reared from aphid mummies.
