ABSTRACT:
This book contains all important organization theory (OT) models and concepts and each is discussed in the context of designing and changing real life organizations. The book presents a balance of both theory and practice. Over two hundred examples covering various types of work environments are cited throughout the book. While business organizations are the primary focus, school, hospital and volunteer organizations and the challenges faced by them are cited. The book deals with challenges faced by all orgaizations-- small and large, local and global, private and government-- so the reader will be able to readily relate concepts to a familiar organization.
