ABSTRACT:
The ecological approach to visual perception of Gibson is formulated vaguely, ambiguously and inconsistently. Presumably the one-sided functionalist vie led Gibson to pre-scientific assumptions. Because of leaving aside physiological, psychological, and philosophical conceptions, the ecological approach can be characterized as pre-physiological, pre-psychological, pre-philosophical.
