ABSTRACT:
Tales from Corytella begins with an introduction by Dr. J. J. Bray,poet, scholar, former Chief Justice and one-time Vice Chancellor of the University of Adelaide.
The book is divided into three sections:
1) Tales from Corytella, which recount the experiences of a schoolteacher in a mythical township, fusing several locations in South Australian rural areas, during the years of Second World War.
2)Stories of more contemporary setting.
3)A reprint of the 24 page biographal pamphlet, Flexmore Hudson, by Paul DePasquale, initially published in by Pioneer Books in 1981. It includes two appendixes: a tribute by Ian Mudie, and Hudson's most wellknown poem, Song of an Australian (1938).
The book is designed by Michal Dutkiewicz, with a front cover devised from historic photographs from the Mortlock Library of South Australia and others by Graeme Hastwell.
