ABSTRACT:
Employee and community owned ventures permitting the linkage of labor with capital as a third way in organizing work, despite the confusion and debate on their very existence (purpose and efficiency), used to be popular forms of organizations following the emergence of neo-liberal policies that emerged in the last two decades of the past century. Their haydays being over, in order to be sustainable and competitive within market economies, such forms of ownership should make the necessary structural alterations in their internal organizations to adapt and to become a part of the constantly changing environment.
