ABSTRACT:
The state of West Virginia has an interesting and distinctive history of social welfare institutions going all the way back to the founding of the Transallegany Lunatic Asylum in Weston WV in 1857. This panel discussion was organized to bring some aspects of that history to the audience of present day social workers working in the state.
