ABSTRACT:
Analyzes theoretical assumptions and constructs of Gestalt therapy. A brief discussion delineation of the relationship between Gestalt theory and Gestalt psychotherapy is presented. The theoretical constructs and models of "organism-environment field," homeostasis and the "contact-cycle" of Gestalt therapy are examined. Alternative approaches for these issues raised by Gestalt therapy are suggested on the foundation of Gestalt psychology.
