ABSTRACT:
The article analyzes theoretical assumptions and constructs of Gestalt therapy. A brief discussion delineation of the relationship between Gestalt psychology and Gestalt psychotherapy is presented. The constructs and models of "organism-environment field," homeostasis and the "contact-cycle" of Gestalt therapy are examined. Alternative approaches to these issues of Gestalt therapy are suggested on the foundation of Gestalt psychology.
