DESCRIPTION:
The main aim of this service is to facilitate the development of a
cohesive sport business management community through the provision of
timely, relevant and high quality information.

As such, it is hoped that participants in the forum will be able to
discuss issues of interest, developments in thinking and practice,
recommend resources, identify key conferences and meetings, and highlight
issues of general interest to the sport business management community.

The scope of the forum is therefore intended to embrace each of the
following within a sport business context: Marketing, Finance, Governance
and Ethics, Human Resource Management, Organisation Behaviour, Management
Information and Information Technology, Operations/Quality/Performance,
Risk Management, Event and Stadia Management, Sponsorship, Endorsements,
Broadcasting and the Media, Event and Stadia Management, Betting,
Merchandising and Retailing, Commercial Law and Agents, Strategy, SME's
and not-for-profit

The other aims of the forum are to:

Contribute to the effectiveness and relevance of information flows within
the sport business management community.
Serve as a link between the British and overseas sport business management
communities.
Promote the inclusion of students at all levels into the sport business
management community.
Facility constructive links between the academic and practitioner sport
business management communities.
Assist in stimulating high quality research and teaching in sport
management education.

It is also anticipated forum will contribute to providing:

Regular information updates in the context of the above information.
Regular information updates relating to the practice of sport business
management.
Regular information updates relating to pedagogy in sport business
research.
Regular information updates relating to pedagogy in sport business
management education.
