ABSTRACT:
The article reviews recent studies by the OSCE, the World Bank and the UNDP on the social situation of the Roma in East Central Europe, and argues in favor of a "Roma mainstreaming" of EU and other international projects in the region. Various statistics of Roma poverty in the region are presented.
