ABSTRACT:
This literature review was carried out in order to produce a synthesis of the best research evidence currently in existence into the notion of effective practice in e-learning for leadership.

The purpose of the review was not only to gain an overview of the current state of research and practice in this area, but to begin to develop a model of the factors that affect the success of elearning in this area.

The starting point for the review was a set of 11 research questions posed by the National College for School Leadership (NCSL), who commissioned this report.
