ABSTRACT:
Many unsolved but important problems exist in the field of psychotherapy research. However, related to the social political situation the debate around psychotherapy has centered on the popular efficacy studies. One main problem is that of choosing adequate criteria related to the wide and controverse spectrum of what ist meant by the term „effectiveness“. While researchers make decisions concerning some questions of method and methodology they, in reality, make important but tacit decisions too concerning the field of clinical psychology. Some of these problems are inquired and great number of undiscussed questions is shown which have to be solved before we can start to collect data and make statistics.
