ABSTRACT:
Evidence was presented deomonstratine superior predictions of work motivation (effort expenditure) using ipsative compared to normative approaches to expectancy theory. Evidence also indicated that return on effort (ROE) versions of expectancy theory yielded superior predictions compared to the conventional approach.
