ABSTRACT:
In this paper, host-plant ranges of Liriomyza sativae Blanchard and L. huidobrensis (Blanchard) and their preference to different plants were systematically studied. And the influences of soil nitrogen, phosphor and potassium, moisture, salinity, heavy metals and heterogeny plant substances on host-selection by L. sativae, and the relationship between L. sativae’ selection and the content of nutritional substances were studied to clarify the mechanism of host-selection by Liriomyza spp. And the possible model of host-selection by Liriomyza spp. and some advice on the control of the leafminers were given.
