ABSTRACT:
It was predicted and found, using nonobtrusive measures, that (a) weekday bettors bet better (the within-race rank-order correlation between final odds and order of finish was higher during the week than on the week-end); and (b) that the favorite paid a higher price during the final race than during the earlier races.
