ABSTRACT:
Es wird das im deutschsprachigen Raum noch wenig beachtete, unternehmsethische Thema, das Verpfeifen illegaler oder unethischer Organisationspraktiken, vorgestellt. Neben der Darstellung einiger typischer Fälle, des wissenschaftlichen Kenntnisstandes und dem Nachweis der zunehmenden Bedeutung des Themas, wird ein Prozessmodell vorgestellt. Dieses Modell soll unter anderem die Basis für ein Forschungsprogramm bilden. Mit den Forschungen sollen die Einflussfaktoren auf den Whistle-Blowing-Prozess untersucht werden. Daraus sollen Empfehlungen für eine konstruktive Einbindung von Whistle-Blower abgeleitet werden.
Until now blowing the whistle on unethical or illegal practices of organizations is not a topic in business ethics in German-speaking countries. There are some typical case studies and the scientific state of the art presented. The increasing importance of the subject is shown and a model is developed, that allows the scientific analysis of the subject. On this basis a research-project is presented. The findings of this project will allow to increase the sensibility of managers and the public for both, whistle-blowing and ethical problems in general, and will give important hints to manage these situations successfully.
