ABSTRACT:
In most small island countries of the South Pacific customary law is recognised by the Constitution as a source of law. However, the method of proof of customary law is only expressly provided for in a few countries. This book looks at the alternative ways in which customary law is required by legislation and the common law courts to be proved and considers whether this detracts from its constitutional status.
