ABSTRACT:
This article reviews the management theory literature about the role of the liberty and justice principles in organizational governance. It suggests that the justice principle is well developed compared to the liberty principle in this literature. This asymmetrical emphasis in theory building poses philosophical and research problems for the field of management.
