ABSTRACT:
As sports counselors and psychologists expand their role into clinical domains, clinical issues such as depressive mood, anxiety and self-esteem will become more important. Aerobic running is a psychotherapeutic sport behavior that can be used in an adjunctive manner to assist with these issues. Aerobic running research associated with positive psychological functioning in adults and children is presented.
