ABSTRACT:
This article describes a psychometric instrument used to measure the knowledge of coaching principles among volunteer youth coaches. Items included on the Volunteer Coaches Test were selected in a comparison of the knowledge of coaching principles between experienced coaches and naive college students. Items which classified respondents with 100% accuracy comprised the test. A high reliability coefficient was obtained.
