ABSTRACT:
Comparisons of self-actualization were made between the following male and female athletes and non-athletes: male baseball, gymnastics, lacrosse, track and field, wrestling team members; female basketball, gymnastics, swimming, track, and non-athletes. There were no differences in self-actualization among the male or female athletic teams. The total female sample was more self-actualized than the total male sample. There were no differences between athletes and non-athletes.
