ABSTRACT:
Attempts to determine whether crowding has sport-specific effects on aggressive behavior. Two groups of 24 subjects each viewed either a football or gymnastics film, half of each group being in a crowd condition and the other half in a non-crowd condition. Each subject then completed the Zaks-Walters (1959) aggression scale. Finds no effect of crowding but viewing the football film increased aggression levels.
