ABSTRACT:
Discusses the development of behavioral techniques in psychology focussing on the application of within subject design methodology to sport psychology. Provides a definition of within subject design experimentation, description of measurement technology used in within subject designs, examples of their use in psychology and sport psychology and a discussion of the current status of the designs. Concludes that as technology continues to develop, the within subject methodology can provide to coaches and athletes the key that is needed to maximize sport performance.
