ABSTRACT:
Methods of finding groups of activities participated in by the same individuals are investigated. These methods include: principal axis, agglomerative clustering, non-lenear factor analysis, and principal components using an alternative association measure to correlation. At least 6 dimensions defined latent characteristics of activity participation: hunting, group sports, nature appreciation, reactive leisure, water sports, and skill-related activities.
