ABSTRACT:
Examines the proposition that chance is decreased as athletes approach their physical limitations. Classifies games into physical skill, strategy or chance, or any combination of the three. Discusses the present state of change in regard to those three elements and as a result of technology. Also presents the counter propositions, that decreased variance in performance increases the importance of chance.
