ABSTRACT:
Studies how many children are involved in weekend team competition and whether their interest was maintained into adolescence. Sixty-seven primary school students in their final year and 433 secondary students were administered a questionnaire. Found that almost two thirds of the primary school population played organized team competition but that student participation declined in secondary school.
