ABSTRACT:
The relationship of age and sex to the performance of 3-6 year olds on seven motor performance tests were examined. Age was found to be related more to performance than was gender on balance, scramble, catching, speed run, standing long jump, tennis ball throw for distance, and softball throw for distance tests. Grouping pre-school and early elementary school children for play activities seems possible based on the results of this study.
