ABSTRACT:
The effect of development on reaction time (RT) and anticipation time (AT) performance was studied in five groups of male and female subjects (aged 7, 9, 11, 13 and 20 years). As age increased RT decreased, with males having faster RT's than females. The younger groups (7, 9) had slower AT performance than the older groups (11, 13, 20). Young subjects appear not to have a good motor plan for AT performance.
