ABSTRACT:
Investigation of simultaneous bilateral fractionated handgrip reaction time performance before and after fatiguing exercise. Changes in reaction time components were assessed in eight female intercollegiate tennis players and eight female swimmers following 30 serial bilateral maximal isometric contractions (5 seconds in duration). Premotor time component increased significantly after exercise for both the preferred and nonpreferred limbs while differential effects occurred between limbs for motor time and total reaction time.
