ABSTRACT:
The author reviews the literature on the measurement of exercise intensity and the role of perceived exertion. He suggests a method of measurement of exercise intensity in the secondary school setting. He discusses the Van Der Walt's and Wyndharr's equation for the calculations of exercise intensity by prediction of oxygen uptake at various running speeds.
