ABSTRACT:
The purpose of this study was to report on the preliminary development of the Hurdling Analysis Instrument. The preliminary results demonstrate that the Hurdling Analysis Instrument contains good levels of concurrent validity and interobserver reliability related to the assessment of an athlete's performance in hurdle clearance. Consequently, the information that surfaced from this study will benefit both practitioners and researchers in their further investigation and potential implementation of this assessment instrument in track and field coaching practices.
